HCMX turns primary research and industry developments into practical, traceable reading for the human cell model community.

Source selection

Research coverage starts with the original paper and, where useful, its linked data, code and supplementary material. Industry briefs link to the originating company, regulator or institution rather than relying on republished announcements.

Independent summaries

HCMX summaries are written in our own words. We separate what a source demonstrates from why it may matter, and we identify limitations, unresolved questions and the evidence that would strengthen a claim.

Research review

Each research article is checked against the primary source for study design, model system, central findings and stated limitations. We avoid treating marker expression as mature function, association as causation, or a preclinical result as clinical evidence.

Industry coverage

News and press releases are clearly labelled. Inclusion is based on relevance to human cell models, NAMs, organoids, iPSCs or enabling biotechnology—not on payment. Company claims remain attributed, and announcement-stage work is not presented as independently validated.

Protocols and validation

Protocol records state their source and validation status. Literature-derived drafts are not presented as validated laboratory methods. Community submissions are reviewed for completeness and clarity before publication, but users must still assess suitability and safety in their own setting.

Conflicts, corrections and updates

Material conflicts disclosed by a source are noted when they affect interpretation. If we make a substantive error, we correct the published record rather than silently preserving it. To request a correction, email hello@hcmx.org with the page and supporting source.

Authorship

“HCMX Editorial” identifies work prepared and reviewed for this publication. Guest and community contributions retain their named authorship and are labelled by content type.
