Information you provide
If you create an account, subscribe to the HCMX Brief, submit an article, protocol or job, join a discussion, or contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, affiliation, profile details, newsletter preference, submitted content and correspondence.
How we use information
We use this information to operate HCMX, authenticate accounts, deliver requested briefings, review and publish submissions, support community features, respond to messages, maintain security and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information.
Service providers
HCMX uses service providers to run the website. These include Vercel for hosting, Supabase for authentication and data storage, and Cloudflare Turnstile for protection against automated abuse. These providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser details and request data under their own privacy terms.
Advertising and cookies
HCMX uses Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show, measure and personalize ads, depending on your consent choices and location. You can accept or decline advertising consent when the site presents those options. You can also manage how Google uses advertising information through Google My Ad Center.

Data retention and security
We retain information for as long as it is reasonably needed to provide the site, maintain published records, meet legal obligations and protect the community. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Children
HCMX is intended for a professional and scientific audience and is not directed to children under 13.
